Bend sinister argent. First Or; two arrows Azure pointing upward in saltire, above them seven-rays star Gules. Second Vert; horse Argent.
The shield is enframed by cartouche Or, crowned by urban crown Argent with three prongs and laid on crossed pick and hammer, entwined by green ribbon with yellow border and inscription "Pavlohrad."
The modern emblem followed basic shapes and colors of the historical emblem of 1811. Arrows and star connected with the historical origins. These figures are reminiscent of the glorious past of the city, founded by the Cossacks. The horse in heraldry symbolizes reliability, strength and hard work. Argent bend represents the Vovcha River.
