KORETS'KYI REGION

VELYKI MEZHYRICHI

It is known since middle of XVI century. A settlement owned to princes Korets'ky which has built here well castle. From middle of XVII century the city belonged to Leschyns'ky, then Lubomyrs'ky, and later has passed to Stets'ky which on a place of ruins of the castle have constructed 1789 a palace. With 1965 the village has received the name Velyki Mezhyrichi.
