The emblem of the romanian (1919-1940) period
It was confirmed in September, 6th, 1928.
Gules; fortress Argent over water Argent, above it are two crossed sabres Or in saltire and cross Or over the crescent Argent. The emblem symbolized Khotyn fortress on the bank of the Dnister and the struggle against Turks for this district.
