The modern emblem
It was confirmed in October, 14th, 2005 by the decision of region council session.
Azure; heart Or, pierced by two arrows Argent in saltire, above formy cross Or, accompanied on the sides by six-rayed star Argent. The shield is crowned by territorial crown Or and framed by border Or with ears of wheat Or and a bunch of viburnum Gules. Supporters: Cossacks in coats Or with belt Gules, trousers Azure, boots Gules, which hold spear Or. On ribbon motto Azure is inscription "Poltavs'kyi region" Or.
