In judicial documents at 1624 village was mentioned as own possession of princess Mariana Korets'ka. In the same place it is spoken, that princess "has besieged" natives from Dymerka on own lands. Ploske was designated on Boplan's map at 1662. The settlement at the river Ploska Ruda (Smolka) consisted mainly of Hoholivs'ka squadron cossacks. The property on the lands belonged to family Vyhovs'kyi and later to Frolivs'kyi monastery.
