HRUZ'KE
The first record about conquest of the tract Hruz'ki Rudy by the gentry Harlyns'kyi was dated in June, 1st, 1578. The first written mention about settlement refers to July, 30th, 1604. In XVII century there was built the church of the Archangel Michael, who has since considered the patron and guardian of the village.
Hruz'ke went down in history as the birthplace of the glorious haydamak man Ivan Bondarenko, the last of Colonel of insurgents. During the summer of 1768, Bondarenko's army freed from landlords and tenants all Kyiv Pissya - the current territory of the Makarivs'kyi, Borodyans'kyi, Ivankivs'kyi districts of Kyivs'ka oblast' and Brusylivs'kyi and Radomyshl's'kyi districts ov Zhytomyrs'ka oblast'. The Colonel was treacherously captured in Makariv and executed in Chornobyl'.
