BORYSPILS'KYI REGION

The modern emblem

It was confirmed in October, 7th, 2003 by the decision #93-09 of ХХІV region council session.

Per pale wavy Argent. First Azure; figure of Saint Prince Borys Or, who holds a spear in the right hand and cross in the left. Gules; globe Or, from which grow two wings. The shield is crowned by flower viburnum Argent and framed by a wreath from wheat stalks, branches of oak and pine trees, tied at the bottom by the yellow-blue ribbon.
Argent pale means the Dnieper, which flows along the western border of the region. Prince Borys symbolizes history of the region, which reaches the XI century. Wings of a bird, combined with a globe, symbolize the international airport.
