It was confirmed in July, 18th, 2018 by the decision #646 of XXXIV city council session of VIII convocation. Per fess and per pale in base by wavy fillet Azure. First; formy cross Gules. Second; two picks Gules in saltire. Third; arch Vert, bordered by Or and Gules fillets, accompanied on either side by geometric pattern Gules. The emblem is inscribed in a decorative cartouche Or and crowned by village crown Or. At the bottom of the cartouche is the inscription "ZHADANY".
A wavy line indicates the location of the village at the confluence of the Skyba creek in the Sob river. The formy cross reflects the legend about foundation the village by the Cossacks, the picks symbolize extraction of clay and the production of bricks and ceramics.
