Hranitne is founded by the Greek settlers, which descendants constitute the majority among the inhabitants of village. That is exhibited in the coat of arms by meandr - national Greek ornamental pattern. Digits "1779" direct a year of the basis Hranitne. In the village flowss the river Cal'mius, it shows a silhouette of the river which is flowing past under a mountain. In this district Cal'mius has rocky coast. Sheep means character of animal industries, vert colour shows character of an agriculture and plants.
