Ukrainian heraldry

Azure, indented chief Or. Jail Argent, under it is six-beam star and a half moon horns up Or. On chief khan tent over two Cossack sabres Sable in saltire. The board is framed by the semi-wreath from ears Or and sugar beet, intertwined by a blue-and-yellow tape, and crowned by a ritual plate of Chernyakhivs'k culture with the image of an ancient slavic calendar.
The central symbol is element of the arms of princes Ostroz'kyis. The indented line means that the region is on a line ancient defensive "Zmievi shaft" which made border between ancient Slavonic tribes and wild steppe. Khan tent symbolizes times when on territory of modern region lived Turks tribes which were on service at the Kyiv princes. It reminds about an origin of the city name Kaharlyk. Cossack sabres are symbol of inhabitants ability to defence.
The wreath from wheat and a sugar beet symbolizes and underlines the agrarian status of region. The plate is art copy of finds of Chernyakhivs'ka culture (ІІІ - ІІ millenium B.C.), transfers culture of our ancestors.
