It was confirmed in February, 2nd, 1999 by the decision of oblast' council session. Azure with base Vert; Victorious George in clothes Or, raincoat Purple on horse Argent, with spear in hand and nimbus around of a head. Rider dives the snake Brown with folded wings, eyes and tongue Gules.
The shield is decorated by two oak branches with leaves Gules and acorns Brown, and also by six spikes Or - three spikes from both parts of a shield. Above a shield is diadem with nine segments. In the central segment of a diadem is the Christ-rescuer with nimbus. In the dexter segments are sacred prince Volodymyr with an nimbus, behind it is prince Yaroslav. In the sinister segments are sacred princess Ol'ha with nimbus, behind her is Anna Yaroslavna. In the third and fourth segments is ornament. Image on site V.Napytkin.
