The village was founded in the late of XIX century. After the abolition of serfdom in 1861 local landowners began to sell lands to immigrants from Austria-Hungary - Czechs, Slovaks, Germans, Austrians. These lands were bought by Czechs, they founded the village. They mainly engaged in the cultivation of hops.
