YAZLIVETS'

It is located near the river Ol'hovets' ands known since first half of XIV century. In the middle of ХV century the city already was one of the significant centers of trade in Podillya and competed even to L'viv. By the L'viv merchants complaint in 1481 the King has ordered to L'viv voevoda to forbid fairs in Yazlivets'. In 1578 it was the well-arranged city with wide streets, stone houses decorated by a groove. The city had some arms. The arms, given to the city by Ponyatovs'kyi's, has description: "the fortress with three towers and the image of the gules bull on an argent background which head is turned to the right" (the arms "Celek"). It was used in the first year of the Austrian domination. In the middle of XIX century the city arms was changed. Instead of the bull in a gate of a tower appeared soldier in an armour with a sword.
