ZMIIVKA
It was founded in 1782, when the Swedish immigrants from Dago island (now it is Hiumaa island, Estonia) based village with name Gammalsvenskbju. After the Second World War it was renamed on Verbivka, and the neighbour villages (former German colonies) - on Zmiivka, Mykhailivka and Kostyrka. After signing in 1951 the contract among the USSR and Poland about an exchange of boundary territories to Zmievka village were moved about 2500 inhabitants from three western-ukrainian villages: Lodyny, Dolishni Beregy, Naniv.
