YAHOTYNS'KYI REGION

The modern emblem

It was confirmed in September, 16th, 2003 by the decision of region council session.

Purple with wide bordure Or, charged by 19 octagonal stars Azure; formy cross Argent. In crest Zaporizhzhya Cossack in coat Gules, hat with top Gules and edging Argent, fess Or. Shield is enframed by a wreath of oak branches with leaves Vert and acorns Or entwined by yellow-blue ribbon.
Cross on purple is ancient symbol of Zaporizhzhya Cossacks, defenders of the Ukrainian nation; shield Or is symbol of wheat fields; nineteen octagonal stars - the symbol of hope, number of local communities, located in the district.
