The soviet emblem

It was confirmed in September, 15th, 1967 by the decision #515 of city council executive committee.

Vert; on the argent unwrapped book is half gear and a flame in a bowl. Under the book are nine (4,3 and 2) furnaces of salt.
City is the large center of mechanical engineering, oil refining, chemical and light industry, education and culture. These modern features of city are reflected in the unwrapped book. Nine furnaces of salt are symbol of the old arm. Vert color is a symbol of woods.
