The modern emblem
It was confirmed in April, 2nd, 2003 by the decision #140 of region council session.
Vert; point reversed gules, in upper part is formy cross argent, in the center is chamois or in the jump. The shield is framed by a decorative cartouche and crowned by territorial crown.
Gules with argent cross is ancient symbol of Volyn', chamois jump symbolizes the name of the region ("sarna" means "chamois").
